We started as a home Bible study and grew into a school and a church- the beginning was fast and furious!
From 1964-69 Robert A. Miller was teaching at Florida Bible College when he began another new outreach ministry in the suburbs of Miami. But what he did not know was that God would move His mighty hand on what would become Florida Christian School and Southwest Community Church!
On January 15, 1969, Pastor Miller's birthday, SWCC was founded and met in the auditorium of Florida Christian School. With the help of many volunteers and skilled workman, the present worship center emerged. A few years later, the additional cafeteria and classrooms were added, called the Davenport Building.
The building would become the birthplace for thousands of new believers in the risen Christ. And many more would come and grow, only to launch into another location as one of the many missionaries that have gone out from these walls.
God poured out His grace upon our foundations and throughout the raising of His congregation we have become. By His grace we are kept and in His love we trust for the days ahead.
We hope you will become a part of our future!
